How Vision Boards Help Dog Moms Reach Their Best Life Goals

Dog moms come from all different backgrounds, places and walks of life -- and that's one reason why we love social media. Our Instagram has become a meeting place for dog owners from San Francisco to New York and everywhere in between. We've even made friends with dog people as far away as Australia and Costa Rica.
And just like our new dog mom best friends are from diverse backgrounds, they also have many different personal and financial goals. So in honor of National Dog Mom's Day, we'll be highlighting all the little things our dog mom friends from all over the world want to accomplish.
From smaller milestones to new experiences, we asked the L&C Dog Mom Crew to share their best dog mom life goals and this is what they had to say!

Ready to work on some dog mom goals of your own? Why not create your own vision board? Whether you create an actual physical vision board or a digital one, this little craft project is a one of the best ways to organize those new year's resolutions and long time goals that you never seem to be able to complete.
What Is A Vision Board?
A vision board is a collection of words and images that represent your goals and dreams. Once collected, you put together your chosen words and images in an artistic collage. Creating a vision board, or manifestation board, doesn't take much time and is a fun way to visualize your goals and keep them top of mind.
Creating a vision board is one way you can vividly describe your goals. According to Forbes, people who vividly write down or describe their goals are 1.2 to 1.4 times more likely to achieve them than those who do not. What could be more descriptive than creating a vision board. But why does this work?
Why Do Vision Boards Work?
It's all thanks to two concepts. External Storage and The Generational Effect. External Storage refers to process of storing information in a specific location outside of your brain (i.e. a vision board in this case). Placing your vision board in a place where you'll see it every day serves as a quick reminder of all the things you want to manifest in your life and these visual cues help you to stay focused.
The Generation Effect says people better remember information they themselves create verses information they read or view from other sources. So expressing all your lofty goals in the form of a vision board is a great way cement them in your head.
Are you and your fur baby not getting enough exercise? Do you wish you could adopt rescue dogs? Is your goal to take your canine companion to some pet-friendly places on your next vacation? Or would you like to hire a dog trainer?
Or maybe you'd like to focus on some more personal items like focusing on building up your emergency fund, increasing your personal activity level, advancing in your career, spending more time with family members, traveling more or having a more active social life? Any and all of these goals are perfect things to include on your vision or manifestation board.
So grab a group of your dog mom best friends and your favorite furry friends, break out the magazines and glue sticks and starting manifesting your heart's desires with a vision board party!
